Glossy Box Australia - November

Hi m'lovelies!

This baby came in the mail yesterday and I was so so excited - especially since it took so long to get to me!

This is the first Glossy Box for Australia and here are my thoughts about it!

This is the outside packaging and it is gorgeous! It's a box within a box. And I will definitely be keeping the baby pink box as storage or something.

The inside is even cuter! Everything is wrapped in a cute ribbon and black tissue paper. I'm really impressed!

My least favourite item is this.

Jurlique - Purely Age-Defying Ultra Firtm and Lift Cream:
  • RRP $90 for 50mL
  • Sample is 5mL = $9 value
  • Also comes with 15% discount card

Like I said in the Ilovethisbox.com post, I do don't like getting age-defying skin care products because I am only 18 and do not need it. I also hate the plastic-y, chemical smell.

 Bio Oil:
  • RRP $14.95 for 60mL, $24.95 for 125mL  , $34.95 for 200mL
  • Sample is 60mL = $14.95 value

I was really excited to receive this as I have always wanted to try Bio Oil, but never got around to it. I do have scarring and stretchmarks that I would like to get rid of. I will definitely be using this!!

Essie - Super Bossa Nova
  • RRP $18.95 for 15mL
  • Samples is 5mL = $6.30 value

My second Essie sample in two different boxes! I really enjoyed the Lilac polish from before (as seen in the photos) so I was quite happy to receive another! However, I would have preferred a different colour, specifically the orange one because I don't wear pink nailpolish. Despite this, lovers of pink polish will definitely love this metallic hot pink shade.

Bobbi Brown Cleansing Oil
  • RRP $60 for 200mL
  • Sample is 24mL = $7.20

I've always wanted to try a Bobbi Brown product but never could because it is so expensive. I'm also always on the lookout for a great makeup remover and cleanser so I'm very happy with this product.

Mirenesse 3D Forever Gloss - #5 Hot Kiss

  • RRP $39.95 for 14g
  • Full sized product = $39.95 value
The packaging is so cute!

When I first saw this, I was very scared. From the tube it looks like a dark maroon colour but it's actually a very nice berry colour. I would have preferred the nude one - but it is all down to luck i guess. I think this would have been great during winter and autumn but I'm not so sure I will be using this during summer. It applies very smoothly and smells yummy.

Inside the lipgloss packet also comes with the opportunity to win a Superlong Gel Mineral Face Colour ($39.95). All you have to do is go to their facebook page, click on the Glossy Box tab and fill in your details and order number. That's it! I will be looking out for it in 10 days.

Also got some pink jellybeans which is a really cute touch. Snacking on these as I type and they are delicious!

Total Value = $77.40

Overall, I am really happy with my Glossy Box - so much so that I cancelled my subscription with I Love This Box. Sure, they had better value but the products themselves weren't to my liking and that is what I have based my decision upon. 4/5 products that I really like in this Glossy Boxis really great!! I look forward to my December (Christmas) box!

I Love This Box - November

Hi everyone,

I've decided to start a blog purely dedicated to hauls and reviews!

First up is November's I Love This Box!

After my HSC my source of retail therapy came in the form of sample boxes. This was after procrastinating by watching youtube videos of Americans opening their Birchboxes and the UK with their Glossy Box (which is also now available in Australia YAY! Will be reviewing this later!) This was the first one that I ordered for $14.95 including shipping and it arrived yesterday!

The packaging is great, the box is slightly shimmery and is quite sturdy. It also felt quite substantial and smelt great!

The box contains:

Caudalie Paris (Set of Three Skincare Samples):
  •  RRP $80 for 30-40mL
  •  Sample is 9mL = $18-24 value
The set includes things like anti wrinkle creams and since I am only 18, I will just pass this on to my mum. I really like the cute little trinket bag and everything though :)

NVEY Eco Eyeshadow in Taupe #172
  • RRP $29 for 1.5g
  • full size = $29 value
I really do like this eyeshadow. It's organic which is a plus and comes off as a silver shimmery brown colour. I think I'll be using this for the inner corners of my eyes!

Essie Nail Polish (French Affair Collection)
  • RRP $18.95 for 15mL
  • Samples is 5mL = $6.30 value
There were three colours available, a lilac, blue and nude. I was so happy to receive the lilac as I don't have this shade in my nail polish collection! Such a beautiful colour - this is easily my favourite product from the entire box. I was hesitant in purchasing a full bottle of nail polish simply because I don't want to pay almost $20 for a bottle of polish. However, I'll definitely try this out and if it performs well, I will certainly consider it!

Keratinology by Sunsilk Colour Therapy Shampoo & Condtioner
  • RRP $10.99-$13.99 for 100mL-200mL)
  • full size product = $22 value
This was the source of the amazing smell when I first opened the box! However, I'm not a real hair-care person and have plenty of shampoo stashed away so still on the fence about this one. Will try it though!

POD Gradual Tanning Face Serum
  • RRP $40
  • full size sample = $40 value
This would be a phenomenal product for those who love to use fake tan. Getting yet another full sized product makes this box's value just so great. However, I am naturally quite tanned already so this product is pretty redundant. Does anyone know if you can use this for other parts of the body? (If it's gentle enough for the face, you could use it for evening out tan lines, right?)

Apparently, there was also supposed to be a $10 off voucher at Magnolia Jewellery stores but this was not in my box, so this inconsistency is a little disappointing.

Total value = $115.30 AUD to $121.30
Overall, I'm not ecstatic about the products, but I am satisfied. I would have liked to have received more make up products!
